Students are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan at registration and the premium is added to the student’s tuition fees. Students do not have the option to waive coverage.

Is the student health insurance comprehensive i.e., includes hospitalization if needed?
Yes, the plan offered is ACA compliant and covers all Essential Health Benefits.
Does the student health insurance include dental coverage?
The Upper Iowa University Student Health Insurance Plan includes a pediatric dental benefit. However, this is ONLY for students who are age 18 or younger.

What happens if I lose my own or my parent’s coverage mid semester? Can I join the Upper Iowa University Student Health Insurance Plan?
